Social Concern

At Crickmay, we believe in making a difference, not only to our clients, the industries we work in, our staff, but also the community around us. We believe that with a little investigation time and money we can make a difference in the lives of the people around us. Our staff is encouraged to get involved with social projects.

The projects are chosen on the provision that:
  • The staff must be involved themselves
  • The projects is supported and supervised by the project 'owner'
  • A project plan is drawn up and accepted

Social Projects

Our social projects co-ordinator is Mr Philemon Nxele. Philemon is responsible for visiting the sites, acting as interpreter and in many cases actually working on the projects identified by our staff. Philemon meets once a month with the management team to evaluate progress and plot the way forward.

In February 2010, Crickmay began renovating the derelict building in which the women are working, making an impact on the self esteem of the people involved as well as on the community. The property has been fenced in preparation for the next stage of the project, which will be the growing of vegetables.
